Lets celebrate our 10th Anniversary & the Second UPRM Biotech Week

From September 19-23 the Industrial Biotechnology Program at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez celebrated the 2nd Biotechnology Week, dedicated to Dr. Alejandro Ruiz and Eng. Emilio Rivera. Dr. Alejandro Ruiz , was the proposer of the Industrial Biotechnology Program in the 1993. Eng. Emilio Rivera, a UPRM graduated, from Amgen has made multiple contributions to the program such as: the establishment of the Industrial Biotechnology Learning Center and the Amgen Fellowships among other initiatives. Our kick-off activity for the week was celebrated on September 17 at the New Biology Building. As part of this activity the following events took place:
