    2. Application fee- $25.00 (Late charges $10.00).
      The fastest and most efficient method of payment is by credit card as deposits are made instantly and the applicant receives a receipt immediately. Payment is the last step in the application process, and can only be done once the application is completed. Payments can also be made directly on campus at the Finance Office, in which case the applicant or his/her representative must take the receipt of payment to the Graduate Studies Office.
    3. Official GRE® scores (General Test and Subject Test).
      The Graduate Record Examinations® (GRE®) General Test measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and critical thinking and analytical writing skills. The GRE Subject Tests gauge undergraduate achievement in 8 specific fields of study.
    4. Official transcripts for all universities attended.
    5. Foreign student credentials (if applicable).
    6. Three letters of recommendation (recommendation letter forms,electronic or paper, are provided in the Graduate Studies Application)
    7. Statement of purpose.
      MS Students: Describe your motivations for attending graduate school in the Department of Marine Sciences and your career goals;<1 page).
      PhD Students: Describe your motivations for attending graduate school in the Department of Marine Sciences and your career goals; include a brief description of your specific areas of interest in Marine Sciences and a potential focus of your research<2 pages.
