The DMS requires receiving bibliographic information concerning all publications reporting results of research conducted, in whole or in part, using the facilities of the Magueyes Island Marine Laboratory. In addition, data from any federally funded research must be made accessible within a reasonable period of time. However, the DMS will ensure, when necessary, that access to such data will be limited only to qualified scientific interests that agree to cite the data and source appropriately, and that this agreement must be made in writing.
