Ultra-High Strength Steels
  • The problems associated with the ingress of hydrogen in metallic materials are of interests to users of structural materials such as Ultra-High strength steels such as AF1410 and Aermet-100, Aermet-300 type steels.
  • Our work consists on effectuating tightly controlled hydrogen ingress. This is followed by structural characterization ranging from Tensile to Fatigue tests on prior hydrogen charged materials.
  • Our characterization techniques include Mössbauer Spectroscopic measurements, X-ray Diffraction, and, Electron Microscopy.
