The Main offices of the Department of Marine Sciences are located in the Mayagüez Campus near the Chardóon (General Studies) and the Industrial Engineering Buildings

Driving directions to La Parguera from the San Juan International Airport   (South Route)

1. Exit the Luis Muñoz Marín Airport towards San Juan, take the marginal road and merge to A-26 EXPRESO ROMÁN BALDORIOTY DE CASTRO
2. Take the BAYAMÓN/CAGUAS/RÍO PIEDRAS exit onto A-18 South. (to the right, through the Minillas Tunnel)
3. Stay in the left lanes.  Follow the signs towards CAGUAS (A-52 South)
4. Take and Continue on A-52 S (3 Toll Plazas, ~68 miles) through to Ponce
5. Take the MAYAGÜEZ/GUAYANILLA Left exit onto A-2 O (WEST) for about 19 miles.
6. Take exit #194/GUÁNICA/LAJAS/PARGUERA onto PR-116.  Stay on 116 for about 10 mi.
7. Bear LEFT on PR-304 S (Toward La Parguera); go 1.7 mi; i.e. continue to the end of the road
8. Turn Left and continue until you dead end in an unpaved parking lot.
9. Proceed to the small dock with the UPRM sign. A boatman (botero) will then pick you up to make the short crossing to Isla Magueyes.

Driving directions to UPRM campus from the San Juan International Airport (North Route)

1. Exit the Luis Muñoz Marín Airport towards San Juan, take the marginal road and merge to A-26 EXPRESO ROMÁN BALDORIOTY DE CASTRO
2. Take the BAYAMÓN/CAGUAS/RÍO PIEDRAS exit onto A-18 South. (to the right, through the Minillas Tunnel)
3. Stay in the right lanes.  Follow the signs towards Bayamón (PR-22 West)
4. Take exit 84B for C-2 O toward Mayagüez/Aguadilla/Hatillo (0.9 km)
5. Merge onto PR-2 and continue for ~70 km
6. Once in Mayaguez, PR-2 Take left (solo) to the UPRM main entrance. (Ask the guard for directions).

Driving directions from Mayaguez Main campus to La Parguera (Isla Magueyes)

1. Take Highway #2 (South)
2. Turn right on road 319, at the end turn left into road 114.
3. Continue on road 114 for approximately 2 miles and take a right into road 102.
4. Continue on road 102 for 3 miles and turn left into road 116 (Guánica/La Parguera).
5. Turn right into road 304 (to La Parguera) and continue to the end of the road.
6. Turn left, and continue until you dead end in an unpaved parking lot.
7. Proceed to the small dock with the UPRM sign. A boatman (“botero”) will then pick you up to make the short crossing to Isla Magueyes.
