My research involves the assessment of the forecasting skill of NCOM AMSEAS and Global HYCOM for the northeastern Caribbean waters rich hydrodynamic field. Mesoscale and sub-mesoscale phenomena will be assessed using the output of models against observations from satellites, drifters, gliders, sea level measurements, buoys, and high frequency radars.
