Meet the WDT:
The web development team (WDT) is the group of people responsible for bringing you uprm.edu. Today the WDT has set the blue print for things to come. The WDT is pushing to transform the traditional concept of online uses from the old informational (Hi! This is me!) to a service oriented site. Where every click is measured in terms of its usability. To create a university that never rests, available for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To allow students to extends their classrooms beyond their physical boundaries. To give our communities access to a new world of knowledge.
WDT Mission:
The Internet has become an indispensable tool for educators, empowering people and removing physical boundaries. The Web Development Team mission is to create and provide internet resources to the university.
By creating and overseeing policies, guidelines and standards on the use and implementation of Internet resources. To include design parameters and accessibility guidelines that comply with local and federal laws.
By providing expert advise and reference on the implementation of internet technologies. By offering seminars and workshop on internet related topics.
By becoming a resource and a facilitator for entities in the university. Creating online features for those entities that lack the resources. By providing these same services to organizations in the community as they are an integral part of the university.
The Staff:
The work of the WDT is an anonymous effort to create a great internet presence. A lot of people put their work into this effort and the WDT is thankful for their help and contributions yet we wish we could put their names here but the space limitation is just not enough ( Does it really sounds like a chip line from a politician? Not for real, we mean it...) Anyway here is the list of the WDT staff.
