What is E.D.S.A?:
At
the English Department we the students have the right
to practice or place into our academic career our abilities
as bilingual students. E.D.S.A is an association that
will help you achieve this as you interact with other
students in an intellectual and bilingual environment.
As a member of E.D.S.A your exclusive purpose is to
promote the English Language and interact with your
fellow students in the above mentioned environment.
Don't think that E.D.S.A is all work and no play! Inside
that association we promote and carry out the activities
originally created by our own students. We have all
different kinds of events and activities that consist
of intellectual gatherings, community services and all
sorts of fun get-togethers. Here are some of the activities
we have created in the past. Once you join E.D.S.A you
could either participate in activities like these or
create your own!
Young Authors Fair:
This Fair is part of our community services. Here we
teach children from 4th to 6th grade how to make and
write their own book.
Spelling Bee: In collaboration
with the Inmaculada Concepcion Elementary School we
have agreed to be their special judges for these events.
"Literary" Festival:
It consists of choosing an author, literary era, or
literary theme and create a festival with exhibitions,
essay readings, presentations, plays, etc. All types
of visuals that represent the festivals theme.
