Good Afternoon!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to intern at Jet Propulsion Laboratory? Or how about Johnson Space Center? Well, you're in luck. Next Wednesday, we will be conducting a LIVE WEBINAR with past and current NASA Interns to provide insight and advice based on their experiences in these positions. They can provide direct knowledge regarding the training, projects, and rigors that comprise NASA Internships, and what it takes to earn the internship along with being selected for multiple years - each has completed multiple internships. During this live webinar, you will be given to the opportunity to ask questions and gain feedback from them. Please find information regarding the panelists below.

Furthermore, I will inform you that many students haven't completed their application because they don't realize it must be done in two parts (unfortunately, I cannot verify each application individually, you must verify that your information states that it is complete). The first part is to complete their basic profile application (their general information, educational history, work experience, letter(s) of recommendation, skills/awards, and 250 word essay, terms of acknowledgement). Then, the second part is to apply directly to NASA opportunities. Remember, you are allowed to apply up to 15 different opportunities. Some of these opportunities may request a 150 word essay.

Lastly, we were informed earlier this week that graduating Seniors (May 2012) are allowed to apply for summer 2012 internships! We do apologize for the late notice, but we were informed of these opportunities just this week. Graduating seniors can apply to all opportunities for seniors for Summer 2012. And remember, there is only 7 days left until the application closes on March 16th, 2012! Do not wait for the last minute because the system will be experiencing a heavy volume of traffic on that day. Remember, late applications will not be accepted for any reason - remind your professors to submit their letters of recommendation if you haven't already!

Eligibility Requirements

A. U.S. or Naturalized Citizen

B. Currently enrolled full-time student (Freshman in college through Masters and Doctoral Students)

C. Minimum 2.8 GPA

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me, and I will do my best to respond prior to the deadline. And finally, please be sure to come with LOTS of questions for our panelist of interns next Wednesday!

Best,
