Seminar: Principles of Lean Six Sigma and CAPA
28/ Abril/ 2012 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
We invite you to the Principles of CAPA and Lean Six Sigma Seminars.
Lean Six Sigma is widely used in many sectors of industry. It seeks to improve the quality of process outputs by identifying and removing the causes of defects (errors) and minimizing variability in manufacturing and business processes. It uses a set of quality management methods, including statistical methods, and creates a special infrastructure of people within the organization who are experts in these methods.
Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) is a concept within Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). CAPA focuses on the systematic investigation of discrepancies (failures and/or deviations) in an attempt to prevent their recurrence. To ensure that corrective and preventive actions are effective, the systematic investigation of the failure incidence is pivotal in identifying the corrective and preventive actions undertaken. CAPA is part of the overall quality management system (QMS). It is being used for all types of control systems, from pharmaceutical to food industries.
The course will benefit individuals in: Computer Sciences, Engineering, Human Resources, Information Systems, Statistics, Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Food Science among others.
