Three internationally recognized scholars will present their ideas on how to conduct interdisciplinary research and teaching in the context of considering how technology can be best directed to serve the common good and to promote human wellbeing:
* Indira Nair, Engineering and Public Policy, Carnegie Mellon University
* Carl Mitcham, Philosophy, Colorado School of Mines
* John Tharakan, Chemical Engineering, Howard University
A series of 5 events in different locations will be given over the course of the entire day and evening. Each event qualifies for CEP and OEG hours. The complete schedule of events, speaker biographies, abstracts and pre-registration is available at cohemis.uprm.edu. If you are likely to attend at least one event, please pre-register at cohemis.uprm.edu so that we can get an advance headcount. However all events are open to the public on a walk-in basis.
