The Art Gallery from the Department of Humanities at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez is a non profit gallery, with educational and cultural purposes only. The Administration reserves the privilege of presenting the exhibitions that comply with this purposes. The Art Gallery is ruled by policies and regulations from the University of Puerto Rico.

Although most of the exhibitions are by invitation, the Administration of the Art Gallery is open to consider petitions from artists who wish to exhibit. In these cases, a Curriculum Vitae and a portafolio of the work to be exhibited is required with the application.

The Art Gallery is located by the lobby at the Carlos E. Chardon Building, previously known as General Studies Building.
