SciFinder
Access to chemical abstracts in electronic form.
To access this dababase, please follow the instructions:
1. Access the UPR-Mayaguez SciFinder Registration page.
2. Fill in the form completely and only use your campus email (it ends in upr.edu). This is the only email that is valid and this is where you will receive the email confirmation for your registration.
3. Create a username and password. The username must be all letters or a combination of letters and numbers (minimum of 5 characters or more). The password must be a combination of letters and numbers with one of the letters in capital (minimum of 7 characters or more).
4. Choose a security question and supply the answer.
5. Click on “Register”.
6. You will receive in your campus email inbox an email from CAS (Chemical Abstracts Service) with a link to confirm your registration. Please click on the link supplied in order to complete the registration process to access SciFinder.
7. To start using SciFinder from now on, click here.
