Resource Recommendations

The Technical Processes Department is ready to receive your suggestions for new titles. Your contribution in this matter will help us update and improve our library collection. Your recommendations should mainly:

  • Support the campus curriculum and research endeavors.

  • Be recently published (although in some justified cases the library may acquire some materials published a while ago, as long as they are still available).

Textbooks will not be purchased. We will, however, purchase those references that support your course syllabus.

The purchase of library materials is conditioned to the available budget in a particular period of time. It will be distributed justly in order to satisfy the information needs of the academic community. Faculty requests will get priority status. Our online system will be available at the begining of each academic year. The specific dates are announced via email (cartero RUM) and in our web page and social media. The time without online access will be used by our library personnel to carry out the acquisition process.


To recommend resources:
  1. Access your upr.edu account through Portal Colegial

  2. Select My Programs

  3. Click Solicitud de Recursos

  4. Fill in the fields and click Enviar

To view the status of your recommendation:
  • Every update made to the status of the recommendation will be sent via email (the same one you provided in the request)

  • You can also click the Sus Solicitudes Hechas option, in the left menu. This option will display a list of all your recommendations and their status.
