To access the new services available through the Library’s Website you need a PIN Number and a user account. The process is easy and simple. Visit the Circulation/Reserve desk on the first floor of the Library and ask to up-date your account, if you already have one, or sign-up for a new one. If you are a student, please bring your current registration papers and your student card. If you are a member of the faculty, bring your employee card. Once you are registered, you can access your library account, see when the books you have borrowed are due as well as any fines you may have, reserve books and other materials, renew items online, and access other options we may add in the future.

Study Rooms for Graduate Students
The Library has eight study rooms which are ideal for those graduate students who prefer to study in a quiet place. These rooms have desks, air conditioning, good lighting and access to the Internet. In the past they were reserved for periods of seven days at a time, but beginning August 2008, they will be available on a daily basis. If you wish to study in complete seclusion, with just the view of nature in front of you, this is it!
The traditional suggestions box has been replaced by a simple version that could be filled using any computer with Internet access. Although the electronic form is sent anonymously, those interested in follow-ups regarding their suggestions can do so by sending us their email addresses, afterwards. Click here to access the Electronic Suggestions form.
Government Printing Office (GPO) Chat
GPO announces that it has teamed up with the University of Illinois to offer virtual reference services via chat. Users of the service will be able to ask questions related to federal government documents and the librarians at the

If you wish to ask questions to one of our librarians here at UPRM, regarding GPO or how to search for federal government documents, visit the Library’s Virtual Reference website or read this brochure (spanish only).
