CEDIBI (Spanish acronym for the Center for the Development of Information Literacy and Bibliographic Research) is an Information Literacy Program to promote information literacy skills and bibliographic research to the curriculum. Information literacy skills is defined as a set of abilities requiring individuals to locate, retrieve, evaluate and use information effectively. In order to fulfill this goal, the following services are available to the academic community:

AGRO 4019 Seminar on Horticulture (1 crd.)
Reports and discussions related to recent research in farm practices and crop production.

BIOL 3055 Bibliography and Library Research in Biological Sciences (1 crd.)
Introduction to the use of the library: the catalog, periodical, indexes, encyclopedias, dictionaries, reports, and term papers in the social sciences.

CISO 3145 Bibliography and Library Research in the Social Sciences (3 crds.)
Introduction to the use of the library: the catalog, periodical, indexes, encyclopedias, dictionaries, reports, and term papers in the social sciences.

INTD 3355 Research Methods in Libraries (3 crds.)
Libraries services and organization with emphasis on the Library of the Mayagüez Campus. Selection and use of bibliographic resources in print and non-print format. Searching strategies using traditional and technological methods to develop research topics.
