What is AFIM on the Road about?

AFIM On The Road is an educational and motivational initiative created by the Association of Women in Mechanical Engineering (AFIM) of the University of Puerto Rico – Mayagüez Campus (UPRM), with the purpose of inspiring and guiding students from across the island on their path to engineering. Through visits to public and private elementary, middle, and high school levels, this activity brings dynamic talks and interactive activities directly into the classroom, bringing the fascinating world of mechanical engineering to boys and girls alike. During each visit, the AFIM team offers guidance on what mechanical engineering is, its many professional opportunities, and how to prepare to study at UPR-Mayagüez, including admission requirements and practical tips.
