April 19th, 2024 – During the “Chemical Engineering and related fields symposium”, graduate students from various research areas of the UPRM Chemical Engineering Department presented their work. Juan Manuel Nasrala Alvarez, showed a poster where he discussed his Master’s research. He mentioned the importance of flowability properties of API and excipients during the continuous manufacturing process. Also, he emphasized in the integration of the stream sampler in the CM line to acquired spectra. This novel approach leads to obtain chemometric calibration models with lower prediction errors to monitor API content in pharmaceutical blends.
