Claudia proudly represented th Baldaguez Medina Group with an oral presentation at the Puerto Rico Interdisciplinary Scientific Meeting (PRISM) and the ACS Junior Technical Meeting (JTM) which is Puerto Rico’s largest annual scientific forum for undergraduate and graduate STEM students!
Her presentation, titled “Redox-Driven Electrochemical Flow Cell for Enhanced Water Desalination,” showcased a novel approach to water treatment using electrochemical flow cells. The project explores a modular system designed to separate salts from water using a Nafion membrane and methylene blue, offering sustainable potential for treating water impacted by military or industrial activity.
We are proud of Claudia’s contribution to advancing water remediation technologies and look forward to seeing how she continues to grow in STEM!
