Our research group is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all members and extending this commitment to the broader community. We recognize the importance of easing transitions and providing guidance to undergraduate students pursuing the Chemical Engineering articulated program from other University of Puerto Rico campuses.

Supporting Campus Transitions:
We actively work to assist students as they transition to the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez’s engineering campus. Our initiatives include organizing orientation sessions, offering peer support, and facilitating workshops that help new students acclimate to their new academic and social environment. These efforts aim to ensure that every student feels welcomed and well-prepared for their journey in chemical engineering.

Mentorship Development:
Understanding the value of mentorship, we are committed to providing meaningful guidance and support to both undergraduate and graduate students. Our mentorship program is designed to help students navigate their academic and professional paths, offering advice, resources, and encouragement. By fostering strong mentor-mentee relationships, we aim to empower students to achieve their full potential and contribute effectively to their fields.

Through these initiatives, we strive to create a nurturing and inclusive academic community that supports the growth and success of all individuals, reflecting our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in every aspect of our research and outreach.
