Cinémathèque has presented The Rocky Horror Picture Show since 2010.

The cult-classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show had its first showings in Puerto Rico in the year 2010 as midnight screeningsat the El Cine movie theater in the Town Center Mall at Mayagüez.

A few years later, in 2014, in collaboration with other student associations like EDSA and TeatRUM, we produced the first The Rocky Horror Picture Show live with a Shadow Cast on stage, enacting the musical numbers and scenes from the original film as they were projected on screen. It became such a big success that an encore was presented the following semester.

Since then, it has become a recurrent event on campus. The daring, sensual, and outrageous show attracts people from all over the island to our Mayagüez campus to see the spectacle that grows in following each year.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a cult-classic that holds generations of passionate fans. We are proud to have brought the show to our island and hope people enjoy it for years to come.
