Description

The Association for Math and Computer Science Students (AEMCC, by its initials in Spanish) is an association addressed to those students of the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez who are interested in the fields of Mathematics or Computer Science. In the association we have students studying Pure Math, Mathematics Education and Computer Science. However, that is not a prerequisite. Students that are not studying these majors but are interested in being a member of the association are welcome to join us.

The AEMCC conducts several activities during the academic year but the most prominent activity of the association is the Eugene A. Francis Cup. This activity is a math competition to those salient High School students who foresee themselves as good candidates for college studies. For more information about the Eugene A. Francis Cup, please refer to our Activites section.
