This summer, a few of our Undergraduate students will be going on Internships all around the world. Here they are:

1. Aleyshka Estevez: She was accepted into the Leadership Alliance Mellon Initiative, a paid internship in the University of Virginia. She has shown great interest in the field of digital media and digital humanities and cannot wait to see what great things she has in store.

2. Tanisha Mantilla: She will be going all the way to England, to study at Cambridge University. She will be part of the Literature Summer Programme, where she’ll be taking literature courses that are not given in our University.

3. Shasteny Cabrera: She will be going to Ohio State University and participate in, The Language of Science and the Science of Language, a paid, summer research program. She has always shown great interest in this program. It is a great starting point for any linguist where they are taught research methods and work alongside mentors.

4. Claudia Rodriguez: She will be going the farthest and participate in the Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program, in South Korea. She has shown great interest in the program since she found out about it and already knowing the Korean language, we can expect she will have a great time not only learning about the culture but also broadening her knowledge on the language.

We are sure they will all have a great time and learn many things while they are away. Have fun and good luck on your Internships.
