NEW Undergraduate Research Opportunities for August 2024! (Application Deadline July 28, 2024 11:59pm)

  1. VR Driving simulator for Formula SAE (INME 4998 3 cr): we will focus mostly on the software side of the simulator building a virtual FSAE Car as a digital twin of our Next Formula SAE vehicle. There will be some minor modifications to the hardware part of the sim, mostly ergonomics. Also these students will help with driver virtual training sessions for the FSAE team. (Looking for 1-2 students, Racing SIM knowledge, Assetto Corsa Mods, Vehicle Dynamics and programing knowledge is preferred)
  2. Epic Makerspace 3D printing (volunteer intern): manage laboratory 3D printers, slice parts, print parts, maintain 3d Printers, and debut problems. (Looking for 2 students, 3d printer knowledge is required, potential for January 2025 paid position)
  3. 3D Scanner to evaluate changes between CAD and manufactured part (INME 4998, 3 cr): learn our in-lab design the protocol to scan objects with a 3D scanner (Calibry 3D). Project will be to scan big parts from FSAE vehicle and compare them with CAD versions. (Looking for 1-2 students, CAD knowledge is required)
