Estudiante doctoral del RUM establece precedentes históricos como pionera en su programa y recipiente de premios internacionales

La estudiante doctoral Yareni Patricia Lara Rodríguez, del Departamento de Ingeniería Mecánica (INME), con investigación en Bioingeniería, del Recinto Universitario de Mayagüez (RUM) de la Universidad de Puerto Rico (UPR), es una pionera en su campo, al ser la primera candidata doctoral en el mencionado Departamento, tras presentar exitosamente su examen oral preliminar y obtener, durante el pasado semestre, importantes becas y premiaciones internacionales.

Doctoral student Yareni Patricia Lara Rodríguez, from the Department of Mechanical Engineering (INME, by its acronym in Spanish), at the Mayagüez Campus of the University of Puerto Rico (UPR), whose research concentration is in Bioengineering, is a pioneer in her field, becoming the Department’s first doctoral candidate, after successfully presenting her preliminary oral exam and obtaining, during the past semester, several important and prestigious scholarships and international awards.
