Our mission is to educate and empower communities about the importance of solar energy and energy security. We believe that access to energy is a right, not a privilege — especially in places that experience constant blackouts or lack stable electricity.

Through interactive workshops and educational talks, our team of students from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus (UPRM), teaches communities how solar energy works, why it is essential for Puerto Rico, and how they can use it as a reliable and sustainable energy source.

So far, we have reached and impacted communities in:

Ciales
Cayey
San Juan
Mayagüez
Maricao
Culebra

In these towns, we have provided workshops on:

What is solar energy and how does it work?
Benefits of solar energy for homes and communities
How to be more energy-efficient at home
Energy security: How solar energy can save lives during emergencies

Our goal is to continue reaching vulnerable communities across Puerto Rico, including small islands like Vieques and Culebra, and create a network of empowered communities using solar energy to improve their daily lives.

Why is this important?
Puerto Rico has faced many natural disasters like hurricanes that leave people without electricity for weeks or even months. Solar energy offers a way to have power even when the main grid fails, and it’s a step toward a cleaner, greener future for everyone.
