During the period of 8 to-11 October 2024, Mr. Nicholas Boone, Dr. Ty Wamsley, Ms. Evelyn Villanueva, Dr. Jorge O. Torres, Ms. Melixa Rivera and Ms. Natasha Zimmerman from the Engineer Research and Development Center – USACE (ERDC) will be visiting to the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez (UPRM). They are attending meetings with faculty and students at UPRM to help strengthen the ERDC’s scientific innovation and technology development with UPRM to further the mutual collaboration efforts. The UPRM has a long-standing partnership with the ERDC to supply high level student recruits, collaborate in R&D areas, and to facilitate faculty/researcher exchange. They will participate in face-to-face meetings with UPRM leadership and in the fall career fair, which are essential initiatives to continue promoting team building and the development of mutually beneficial research as established in the current Education Partnership Agreement signed in March 2023. The ERDC team will give an open conference to interested students and faculty on ERDC opportunities including job, internship, and research opportunities.
