Summary: Twenty-two students, two teachers, and five parents visited our lab facilities and participated in several hands-on interactive modules. On the photo (moving clockwise from the upper left corner): (1) our very own Daphne S. Belén teaching students on the use of polarized-light microscopes ; (2) students using the microscopes to see large molecular sieves crystals; (3) students playing “Jenga.” The “Jenga” game allows them to visualize the build-up of a “porous” framework and how fragile these could be.
