We are the student chapter of the association known as IEEE Power & Energy Society, better known as IEEE PES. We are the only power-specialized association at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez campus.

  • EmpoWer is the research project created by IEEE PES – WIP UPRM with the goal to develop
    a Solar Heater with recyclable materials and Solar Powered Water Purifier for a school in
    Culebra, Puerto Rico.
  • Established in January 2023.
  • 20+ young women from different engineering departments and the business administration
