Working through the CETL has been a valued opportunity. Being able to apply the skills I’ve developed here in the university into analyzing and solving simulated real-life problems has helped me not only refine my tools for the work environment, but also better understand how to coordinate with other people in the pursuit of that goal. As part of my project, I’ve been gathering data over runs of simulated trucks to analyze potholes via IMU sensors, which can then be fed into a neural network to analyze where a pothole is and how deep it is. It allows me to both work with tools new and familiar, while also being able to build towards something that gives back to society.
