General Description: Some subspecies of the genre Bacillus in bacteria form the mechanism of endospores. Since the spores of some species are causative agents of much food spoilage, food poisoning, and human disease, and the spores of Bacillus anthracis are a major bioweapon, there is much interest in the mechanisms of spore resistance and how these spores can be killed (Setlow P. ,2014). The endospore presence in the bacteria species Bacillus is consider bioterrorism because can affect the human to cause disease. We work with subspecies of the Bacillus that have the mechanism of endospores. This subspecies that we are working to Bacillus cereus and Bacillus thuringiensis which have the same mechanism of spore presence. In this experiment, we are working with the production of Bacillus cereus and Bacillus thuringiensis that grown in Luria-Bertani (LB) agar, LB pure broth, LB with manganese sodium broth and Brain Heart Infusion Agar at 30°C. In the solid culture medium grown the bacteria to 24 hours later make inoculation in the broth. Later, to obtain the bacterial samples to make the growth curve. The purpose of this investigation is to construct a growth curve analyze the data with gram-positive endospore forming bacteria and vegetative cell presence. After analyzing the data that obtained in the growth curve, we need to observe the behavior that present the endospores and vegetative cell in the bacterial samples. The knowledge that the investigation gives us would help to facilitate more information for other similar studies.
