General Description: Engineering design is complemented by the types of tools or technologies that are available to the designer. The designers want to make your product recognized by consumers. Also, they want consumers to recognize, visualize and interact with the product design without it being finished, to obtain the consumers preference during product development. Virtual Reality (VR) in product judgment studies can provide subjects with realistic visual information, subject will be able to appreciate many product angles in 3D where they interact with the product and the environment. The primary expectation is that through the comparison of VR and CAD it is shown that the representations of the product in VR differ from those of CAD and that a better interaction can be appreciated in VR for product representations in engineering design. This research aims to compare CAD vs. VR on a set of 108 subjects and determine if there are significant differences in the type of representation for each subject with a single product.
