General Description
This work describe our recent studies aimed at designing LC droplet-based sensors wit
improved colloidal stability, tunable sensitivity, and selectivity to aqueous amphiphilic
analytes. We developed a novel strategy based on the use of nanoparticles and our results
demonstrate a useful strategy to substantially improve the colloidal stability and shelf-life of
LC emulsions, thus increasing the potential practical utility for the detection and reporting of
chemical and biological analytes.
