Naomi Schor Memorial Award

The Naomi Schor Memorial award is given to the best essay by a graduate student giving a presentation at the annual meeting of the Nineteenth-Century French Studies Colloquium. Note that submissions are limited to 3,000 words excluding notes and bibliography, previous Schor award winners may not submit, and submission implies the presenter will attend the colloquium banquet where the prize will be awarded.

Lawrence R. Schehr Memorial Award

In remembrance of Larry Schehr's profound commitment to mentoring junior faculty, this prize recognizes the best essay presented at the NCFS Colloquium by an untenured PhD within the first 6 years since receiving the degree. Note that submission are limited to 3,000 words excluding notes and bibliography, previous Schehr awarded winners may not submit, and submission implies the presenter will attend the colloquium banquet where the prize will be awarded.

Essays should be sent as .doc or .docx attachments to Corry Cropper (cropper@byu.edu) on or before September 29, 2014
