The Industrial Biotechnology program started in 1994 as an interdisciplinary initiative at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez. The program’s curriculum is characterized by course sequences from science (biology and chemistry),engineering, mathematics, and socio-humanistic complemented by hands-on and practice-based experiences.
