Retention rate

Retention rates are used to indicate student success, as they identify to what extent students who enter their first year successfully transition from high school to University, completing their first year and returning for their second year. As shown in the following table, in 2022, 84.27% of students who entered University returned for their second year, while in the 2023 cohort, the percentage was 86.94%. Regarding returning to the specific program, in the 2022 cohort, 76.46% returned, while in the 2023 cohort, this percentage was 79.52%.

Graduation rate

The graduation rate indicates the extent to which first-year students successfully achieve their educational goals at the university by obtaining a bachelor’s degree within 150% of the expected time. Since we have programs projected for five years, the rate is calculated at 7.5 years. The table below shows that for students who entered in 2016, the graduation rate at RUM was 49.70%, while for students who entered in 2017, the rate was 53.83%.

After graduation

The University also measures student performance in terms of how successful students are in fulfilling their graduate plans.

Employment Results

The University’s objective is that most of its graduates successfully fulfill their post-graduate plans. The average placement rate for the past 9 years has been 69.89% at graduation and 77.81% six months after graduation, excluding pandemic-affected 2019-2020 results. For students graduating in 2023, the placement rate was 68.08%, and for 2024 graduates, the rate was 79.41%. 86.42% of the graduates in the class of 2023 had employment in an area related to their field of study at the time of graduation, while this figure was 86.83% for the class of 2024.
