Retention rate

Retention rates are used to indicate student success, as they identify to what extent students who enter their first year successfully transition from high school to University, completing their first year and returning for their second year. As shown in the following table, in 2020, 88.18% of students who entered University returned for their second year, while in the 2021 cohort, the percentage was 83.18%. Regarding returning to the specific program, in the 2020 cohort, 81.54% returned, while in the 2021 cohort, this percentage was 75.94%.

Graduation rate

The graduation rate indicates the extent to which first-year students successfully achieve their educational goals at the university by obtaining a bachelor’s degree within 150% of the expected time. Since we have programs projected for five years, the rate is calculated at 7.5 years. The table below shows that for students who entered in 2014, the graduation rate at RUM was 54.57%, while for students who entered in 2015, the rate was 53%.

The University’s objective is that most of its graduates successfully fulfill their post-graduate plans. The average placement rate for the past eight years has been 71.90% at graduation and 88.59% six months after graduation, excluding pandemic-affected 2019-2020 results. For students graduating in 2020, the placement rate was 79.02%, and for 2021 graduates, the rate was 73.80%. 88.03% of the graduates in the class of 2020 had employment in an area related to their field of study at the time of graduation, while this figure was 88.34% for the class of 2021.
