Under the leadership of I. Pagán-Trinidad, CIRC has been active in the creation of LACCEI, the Latin American and Caribbean Consortium of Engineering Institutions, which is now an established institution linking universities from Latin America, the Caribbean, North America, and Spain.
RIDNAIC
L. Godoy and L. Suarez edit a scientific and technical peer-reviewed publication called “International Journal on Natural Disasters, Accidents and Civil Infrastructure”, which is published twice a year. The journal publishes papers in Spanish and Portuguese, and is distributed to 600 institutions or researchers in The Americas and Spain.

CIRC researchers, under the leadership of R. López, are part of the Mid America Earthquake Center, sponsored by National Science Foundation.
