Introduction to 3D Printing
3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, creates three-dimensional objects from digital models by building material one layer at a time.
The technology makes it possible to create complex designs, customized components and prototypes that may be difficult to manufacture using traditional processes.
Its applications extend across industries such as healthcare, automotive, aerospace and consumer products, making it a powerful technology for innovation and rapid prototyping.
Using the Makerspace 3D Printing Services
EPIC Makerspace provides a 3D printing service for the UPRM community. The service is free and sponsored by Procter & Gamble.
