Course Title INTRODUCTION TO ENGINEERING
Course Description This course provides students from all undergraduate programs offered in the college of engineering with critical information to discern the differences among engineering disciplines. Its contents is structured to provide students with a broad view of what engineering is about, and in particular, what to expect from the specific field they have chosen. Course objectives include providing information and clarifying doubts about the different engineering programs, providing examples of typical tasks performed by contemporary engineering professionals, creating awareness about the role of engineers in research laboratories, industry, manufacturing plants, service facilities, and in entrepreneurship; and teaching how math and science concepts are used in the resolution of engineering problems.
