OHL Faculty Researcher Marci Denesiuk was awarded an Oral History Association (OHA) Presenter Scholarship for their upcoming 2025 Annual Meeting in October. Denesiuk will be presenting a roundtable with OHL Director, Ricia Chansky, entitled “The Kids Are Alright: Youth Agency and Oral History.” Chansky and Denesiuk will share some of their work done with younger narrators and UPRM students and will explore various means of seeing and making visible youth agency and action. Denesiuk and the OHL are grateful for the generous support of the OHA.
La investigadora del OHL, Marci Denesiuk, fue reconocida con la beca de presentación de la Oral History Association (OHA) para su próxima Reunión Anual 2025 en octubre. Denesiuk participará en una mesa redonda junto a la directora del OHL, Ricia Chansky, titulada “The Kids Are Alright: Youth Agency and Oral History”. Chansky y Denesiuk compartirán parte del trabajo que han realizado con narradores jóvenes y con estudiantes del RUM, explorando diversas formas de reconocer y visibilizar la agencia y la acción juvenil.
