Team Teach
In 2011 SWE (UPRM) created a group of students to participate in the Boeing Team Tech, which is a design competition sponsored by Boeing Company in the Society of Women Engineers National Collegiate Section.The SWE Boeing Team Tech is a multidisciplinary team comprised of various students in different engineering fields emphasizing the role of team work and interface with industry. This is the first time that this team has the opportunity to create a project with Boston Scientific, Dorado PR Plant. In the project called “Proximal and Distal Assembly Process”, the team and Boston Scientific worked together during a period of time to complete the objectives of the project through the engineering process. Also, in this competition, SWE UPRM Team Tech are the only representation of the University of Puerto Rico- Mayaguez Campus and Puerto Rico.
In the SWE National Conference (WE’18) our team won second place.
