The Nutritional Time Series application presents the caloric and nutritional contribution of foods imported into Puerto Rico. This application matches data from the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS) of the Foreign Trade Division of the U.S. Census Bureau with data from the USDA FoodData Central (FDC). The HTS provides information on all food commodities imported into Puerto Rico, while the FDC provides the general food and nutrient profiles of imported foods. The USDA FoodData Central (FDC) produces resources designed to facilitate the understanding of nutritional information for various foods, thereby supporting nutritional analysis. The HTS is based on the International Harmonized System, the global nomenclature system applied to most international merchandise trade.

La aplicación de Series de tiempo nutricionales presenta la contribución calórica y nutricional de los alimentos importados a Puerto Rico. Esta aplicación parea datos del Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS) del Foreing Trade Division de la Oficina del Censo Federal y el FoodData Central (FDC) del USDA. El HTS se obtiene todas las mercancías de alimentos importadas a Puerto Rico y del FDC los perfiles generales de alimentos y nutrientes de los alimentos importados. La Central de Datos Alimentarios (FDC) del USDA produce recursos comprender la información nutricional de distintos alimentos, lo que facilita el análisis nutricional. El HTS se basa en el Sistema Armonizado Internacional, el sistema global de nomenclatura aplicado a la mayor parte del comercio mundial de mercancías.
