On behalf of the faculty, staff and students of the Department we congratulate the AGC UPRM Bulldogs Construction student chapter for being crowned champions of the “ASC Heavy Civil Region 2 Competition” for the first time. This competition is based on submitting a construction proposal to auction.
The team was made up of Jesús Acosta, captain; Sebastián Serrano, Emmanuel Rodríguez, Manoel Marrero, Javier De Jesús, and Orlando Rodríguez; from the Department of Civil Engineering and Surveying (INCI-AGTO), as well as Julián Rivera, from the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
It only took the students two years to reach first place since they joined for the 2018-2019 competitions. In October 2018, the first team to participate in these competitions, obtained 4th place in the Heavy Civil Competition.
We are very proud of each of the team member for such a significant achievement and express our gratitude to the professors who continually support them.
