The Academic Advising Office is located in the Department of Civil Engineering and Surveying.  The Academic Counselor for graduate students and students enrolled in the Surveying Program, Mrs. Sharon Bado, is located in the CI-101A office.  The Academic Counselor for students enrolled in the Civil Engineering Program, Mrs. Judith Valentín, is located in the CI-102A office. Students are received by order of arrival. Visiting hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  To minimize waiting time, it is recommended to schedule an appointment in advance.

Offered Services

  1. Student guidance about the academic offerings of the department and specialty areas.
  2. Assisting students in the registration process for the programs of Civil Engineering and Surveying and Topography.
  3. Orientation to students, visitors, and/or family members about admission requirements, readmission, process of registration, transfers, transfers to the department, and permits to study in other institutions of the programs of Civil Engineering and Surveying, and Topography.
  4. Equivalency processing of students accepted through transfer to the undergraduate program and students who request permission to study in other institutions.
  5. Academic evaluation of records for students that apply for graduation with one semester in advance.
