OHL Librarian Natalia Hernández Mejías and OHL Director Ricia Chansky have published their essay “Living Archives” in a special issue of The Bilingual Review/La Revista Bilingüe, which is “a collection of English and Spanish language articles illustrating how a cariño and querencia framework has the ability to center values of familismo, confianza and respeto, and the cultural and linguistic practices of our communities.” The essay explores how the concept of “living archives”—a participatory preservation space that transcends traditional institutional practices—is actively integrated into the work of the OHL.
