Dr. Ricia Anne Chansky, Marci Denesiuk, and José J. Morales Benítez attended the 2023 Oral History Association Conference in Baltimore, MD, “Oral History and/as Education: Teaching and Learning in the Classroom and Beyond.” Chansky, Denesiuk, and Morales Benítez delivered a panel presentation, “The Oral History Lab @UPRM: Decolonial PracticeOn, Across, and Beyond Campus,” and a poster presentation, “From the Classroom to the Archives: The OHL @UPRM as a Collaborative Workspace.” Chansky also delivered a panel with the 2023 cohort of Assembling Voices Fellows with support from the Interdisciplinary Center for Innovative Theory and Empirics at Columbia University, “Learning Beyond the Classroom: Community Storytelling and Experiential Knowledges as Decolonial Practice.”
