Description
The American Institute of Chemical Engineers–Institute of Chemical Engineers of Puerto Rico (AIChE–IIQPR) student chapter at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez is a student organization focused on the academic, professional, and personal development of future chemical engineers. Our professional development, outreach, social activities, fundraising, and charity committees organize activities that promote learning, support our members, connect them with industry, and serve our communities. As part of our mission to support student growth, our ChemE Lead mentorship program helps first- and second-year students transition to university life. We also support our competition teams, Coki Racing Team and ChemE Cube, which represent our chapter in national competitions.

Our mission is to prepare chemical engineers to address society’s evolving needs by promoting leadership, innovation, teamwork, and social responsibility. Guided by the missions of AIChE and IIQPR, we provide opportunities for learning, professional development, and personal growth, equipping members with the knowledge, adaptability, and commitment to contribute to their profession and communities.
