On Wednesday, December 1st, 2010, Prof. Ubaldo M. Córdova-Figueroa was invited by science teacher Ruth Rosa to give a motivational talk and presentation on nanotechnology to middle school students from the Abelardo Diaz Alfaro School in Toa Alta, PR.  During his talk, students were exposed to other topics in chemical engineering such as materials science and transport phenomena.  In addition to promoting the success of the graduate program of the Department of Chemical Engineering at Mayagüez, Prof. Córdova-Figueroa also encouraged students to aspire to great things and to never give up in their pursue of a professional career.  At the end of the presentation, students participated in a Q&A session on science, higher education programs, and science fairs.
