The OHL has two main ways for students to become involved: matriculating in course offerings and interning in an active research project.
Course Offerings:
Students are at the center of every project that the OHL undertakes, and many students enrolled in affiliated writing and filmmaking courses participate in our endeavors. The writing courses typically fulfill UPRM General Education requirements and the film courses may be counted as electives. UPRM students may enroll through their matriculation portal, students from other UPR campuses may enroll through their campus, and those interested who are not in the UPR system may enroll through DECEP.
Internships:
If you are interested in becoming involved in an active research experience related to storytelling for social justice, you’ve come to the right place. The OHL offers students from UPRM and beyond the opportunity to become involved in a large-scale research project with options both in the community and on-campus.
